My Client
I'm currently hiring for a leading Irish contractor who are on the lookout for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a project taking place in Galway.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a developer with long-term regional projects and strong growth plans.

The Role
The Site Manager will have full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.

You will play a key role in coordinating subcontractors, managing site teams, and driving performance across all phases of construction through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site construction activities from groundworks to completion
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure work is delivered to programme
• Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety standards
• Monitor build quality and ensure high finishing standards
• Liaise with Project Manager and Commercial team regarding progress and costs
• Conduct regular site meetings and toolbox talks
• Manage site logistics, materials, and plant
• Ensure compliance with Irish building regulations and BCAR requirements
• Oversee snagging, testing, commissioning, and final handover

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience as a Site Manager or Senior Foreman
• Strong residential construction background (housing preferred)
• Proven track record of delivering projects to completion
• Trade background or relevant third-level qualification
• Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations and H&S legislation
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractor packages effectively

Desirable

• Experience working directly for a Tier 1 Contractor
• Experience delivering multi-unit housing  and/ or commercial developments
• Familiarity with West of Ireland construction market
• Strong finishing and handover experience
