Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic and growing construction team based in Kildare. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused professional to play a key role in the successful delivery of high-value construction projects.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects from pre-construction through to final account.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontractor procurement, contracts, and payment applications.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage project risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare interim valuations, variations, claims, and final accounts.
  • Work closely with project managers, site teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Produce accurate commercial reports and provide strategic cost advice to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
  • Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team where appropriate.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role, with experience leading commercial aspects of construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract and construction law.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial management software.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
