About the Employer
Our client is a well-established and growing Irish main contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, pharmaceutical, industrial, civil engineering, and infrastructure sectors. With a strong reputation for quality, safety, and client satisfaction, they are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Kerry.
 
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management of construction projects from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with project teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maximising commercial performance.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all commercial aspects of assigned projects.
  • Prepare cost plans, budgets, forecasts, and cost value reconciliations.
  • Procure and manage subcontractor and supplier packages.
  • Prepare and agree interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Administer construction contracts and maintain contractual compliance.
  • Prepare monthly commercial reports for senior management.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site management teams.
  • Support and mentor junior commercial staff where required.
Requirements
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role with a main contractor.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel to project locations as required.
