A well-established construction contractor based in Dublin is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join its commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and industrial projects with a forward-thinking and growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for tenders and pre-contract works
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost breakdowns
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather pricing information
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations for compliance and value
- Support bid submissions and contribute to winning tender strategies
- Maintain and update cost databases and benchmarking information
- Provide value engineering input throughout the tender process
- Mentor junior estimators and contribute to team development
Requirements - Minimum 7+ years' experience in construction estimating (main contractor environment preferred)
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and current market rates in Ireland
- Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tenders simultaneously
