An established and growing infrastructure delivery business is seeking a
Senior Engineer to support the successful delivery of utility and civil engineering projects across the Northern Home Counties and into the Midlands.

The role offers exposure to a varied portfolio of infrastructure and utilities projects, working alongside experienced operational and commercial teams.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of utility infrastructure projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to programme.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing engineering activities across multiple utility projects
- Supporting project delivery teams with technical guidance and site coordination
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, local authorities, and stakeholders
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Assisting with programme management, reporting, and progress tracking
- Conducting site inspections and resolving engineering issues as they arise
- Supporting continuous improvement and best practice across projects
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates should have:
- A degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum 2 years' experience within the utilities or infrastructure sector
- Strong understanding of utility project delivery and site operations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across several live projects
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Willingness to travel across the Northern Home Counties and Midlands region
Desirable Experience
- Experience working on water, gas, power, telecoms, or multi-utility projects
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and utility standards
- SMSTS, CSCS, or other relevant site certifications
- Experience working with principal contractors or utility providers
