OCS are currently working with a leading specialist contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Engineer to join their team on a major 14-storey extension to an existing hospital in Central London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer with a solid RC Frame background to work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team on a complex and high-profile project.
The Role As Senior Engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager and take responsibility for the engineering and technical delivery of the project.
- Working closely with the Project Manager to deliver the project successfully.
- Managing all engineering and technical aspects of the RC Frame works.
- Setting out and surveying to ensure works are delivered accurately and to specification.
- Reviewing construction drawings, specifications and technical information.
- Coordinating with consultants, subcontractors and the wider project team.
- Raising and resolving RFIs and technical queries.
- Managing technical submissions and ensuring design information is available when required.
- Monitoring quality and ensuring works are constructed in accordance with the design.
- Supporting the project programme and coordinating engineering activities.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.
- Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers.
- Maintaining accurate engineering records and documentation.
About You To be considered for this position, you must have:
- An Engineering Degree – Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working on RC Frame projects.
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer / Senior Engineer within the RC Frame sector.
- Strong setting-out and surveying experience.
- Excellent understanding of reinforced concrete construction and structural frame methodology.
- Experience working on large-scale, multi-storey projects.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team.
