About the Opportunity
OCS Recruitment is proud to partner with a well-established residential main contractor to appoint an experienced Senior EHS Advisor for a significant medium to high-density residential project located in West Dublin & Meath.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive safety professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and is confident working independently on complex residential builds.
 
The Role
Reporting to the senior EHS team and site management, you will take responsibility for maintaining and improving health & safety standards across a large-scale residential development. The successful candidate will be a strong self-starter, capable of working on their own initiative while supporting operational teams in delivering best-in-class safety performance.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor site-specific EHS policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with Irish health & safety legislation and company standards.
  • Lead incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
  • Monitor high-risk activities including:
    • Mobile cranage operations
    • Timber frame erection
    • Reinforced concrete (RC) frame construction
  • Support subcontractors and site teams in maintaining safe systems of work.
  • Promote a positive and proactive safety culture across all trades on site.
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience working as a Senior EHS Advisor on construction projects, particularly within residential medium- and high-density developments
  • Strong working knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Demonstrated experience across all phases of construction, including substructure, superstructure, and finishing stages
  • A solid track record of delivering EHS standards within the Irish construction sector
  • Ability to effectively engage with site management, operatives, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement in safety performance
  • Relevant qualifications (Higher Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline)
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and organisational skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation
