About the Opportunity
OCS Recruitment is proud to partner with a well-established residential main contractor to appoint an experienced EHS Advisor for a significant medium to high-density residential project located in Dublin 7.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive safety professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and is confident working independently on complex residential builds.
 
The Role
Reporting to the senior EHS team and site management, you will take responsibility for maintaining and improving health & safety standards across a large-scale residential development. The successful candidate will be a strong self-starter, capable of working on their own initiative while supporting operational teams in delivering best-in-class safety performance.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor site-specific EHS policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with Irish health & safety legislation and company standards.
  • Lead incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
  • Monitor high-risk activities including:
    • Mobile cranage operations
    • Timber frame erection
    • Reinforced concrete (RC) frame construction
  • Support subcontractors and site teams in maintaining safe systems of work.
  • Promote a positive and proactive safety culture across all trades on site.
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in an EHS role within residential construction, ideally on medium to high-density developments.
  • Strong working knowledge of all aspects of construction activities.
  • Demonstrable experience overseeing:
    • Mobile crane operations
    • Timber frame erection
    • RC frame projects
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of site safety.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Minimum qualification:
    • Diploma in Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (SHWW)
    • OR Certificate qualification with substantial experience and a clear ambition to upskill.
