OCS Recruitment is proud to partner with a well-established residential main contractor to appoint an experienced EHS Advisor for a significant medium to high-density residential project located in Dublin 7.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive safety professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and is confident working independently on complex residential builds.
Reporting to the senior EHS team and site management, you will take responsibility for maintaining and improving health & safety standards across a large-scale residential development. The successful candidate will be a strong self-starter, capable of working on their own initiative while supporting operational teams in delivering best-in-class safety performance.
- Implement and monitor site-specific EHS policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with Irish health & safety legislation and company standards.
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
- Monitor high-risk activities including:
- Mobile cranage operations
- Timber frame erection
- Reinforced concrete (RC) frame construction
- Support subcontractors and site teams in maintaining safe systems of work.
- Promote a positive and proactive safety culture across all trades on site.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in an EHS role within residential construction, ideally on medium to high-density developments.
- Strong working knowledge of all aspects of construction activities.
- Demonstrable experience overseeing:
- Mobile crane operations
- Timber frame erection
- RC frame projects
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of site safety.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Minimum qualification:
- Diploma in Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (SHWW)
- OR Certificate qualification with substantial experience and a clear ambition to upskill.
