The Client OCS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Contractor who are on the lookout for a Senior Contracts Manager to join their team in Kilkenny. This is a exciting opportunity for a Senior Contracts Manager to work on project work involving million-euro mechanical packages.
Responsibilties: - Oversee the delivery of multiple mechanical services contracts, ensuring projects meet programme, budget, quality and contractual requirements.
- Manage projects throughout the full lifecycle, from contract award and pre-construction planning through to installation, commissioning and final handover.
- Review contract documentation, specifications, tender submissions and scope requirements to identify commercial risks, technical issues and potential opportunities.
- Lead and support Project Managers, Contracts Managers, Site Managers and engineering teams to ensure effective project execution.
- Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, cost control, cash flow, valuations, variations and final account negotiations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, main contractors, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Oversee procurement strategies, material ordering, subcontractor appointments and commercial negotiations to achieve value for money and timely delivery.
- Monitor project programmes, resource allocation and progress against key milestones, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Manage contractual correspondence, change control, extensions of time, variations, claims and commercial disputes.
Requirements: - Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in mechanical building services contracting, with a proven track record of managing large or multiple mechanical services projects.
- Previous experience in a Contracts Manager, Senior Contracts Manager or similar senior project delivery role.
- Strong commercial and contractual management skills, including cost control, variations, valuations and final accounts.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, plumbing, heating, ventilation and associated plantroom installations.
