A growing construction and development organisation based in County Mayo is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and supporting the delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.
- Prepare and manage project cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
- Conduct cost analysis and feasibility studies for new and ongoing projects.
- Manage tendering processes, including preparing tender documentation and evaluating contractor submissions.
- Monitor project costs and ensure works are completed within agreed budgets.
- Prepare interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate cost control.
- Assess subcontractor payments and manage contractual documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant construction regulations and contractual obligations.
- Provide financial and commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle.
- Degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role (construction or civil projects preferred).
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management.
- Excellent numerical, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cost management software.
- Experience working on residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Membership or progress towards membership with a professional body (e.g., Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland or Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).
