We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an established and growing construction business based in Longford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the commercial management of a range of projects, working closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered successfully and profitably.
Key Responsibilities: - Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects from tender through to completion.
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets, tenders and pricing.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
- Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations and payments.
- Preparing and submitting variations, interim valuations and final accounts.
- Monitoring project costs, budgets and cash flow.
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
- Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Producing regular cost reports and commercial updates.
- Supporting the wider project team in delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Ensuring contractual and commercial procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements: - Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of construction contracts, procurement and cost control.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a wider project team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant construction/QS software.
