Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

An established construction company is currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their team in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused construction professional with strong experience in cost management, contract administration and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage contracts from initial stage through to final account.
  • Prepare, monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring effective cost control.
  • Develop and manage budgets for subcontractors, preliminaries and associated project costs.
  • Review contract documentation and support the procurement and appointment of subcontractors.
  • Prepare, submit and negotiate monthly valuations, ensuring payments are received in a timely manner.
  • Manage variations, claims and associated commercial documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project cost and contract records.
  • Work closely with design and project teams to identify and manage commercial risks.
  • Monitor project performance and identify potential cost savings and commercial opportunities.
  • Support the successful commercial delivery of projects from tender through to completion.
Requirements
  • Significant experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cost management, contract administration and commercial processes.
  • Previous experience working on projects in Ireland.
  • Experience within controlled environments, data centres or pharmaceutical projects would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and project costs effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project, design and commercial teams.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
