An established construction company is currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their team in Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused construction professional with strong experience in cost management, contract administration and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities - Manage contracts from initial stage through to final account.
- Prepare, monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring effective cost control.
- Develop and manage budgets for subcontractors, preliminaries and associated project costs.
- Review contract documentation and support the procurement and appointment of subcontractors.
- Prepare, submit and negotiate monthly valuations, ensuring payments are received in a timely manner.
- Manage variations, claims and associated commercial documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project cost and contract records.
- Work closely with design and project teams to identify and manage commercial risks.
- Monitor project performance and identify potential cost savings and commercial opportunities.
- Support the successful commercial delivery of projects from tender through to completion.
Requirements - Significant experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost management, contract administration and commercial processes.
- Previous experience working on projects in Ireland.
- Experience within controlled environments, data centres or pharmaceutical projects would be highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical, numerical and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and project costs effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project, design and commercial teams.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
