We are a family-run building and civil engineering contractor with over 35 years' experience delivering fit-out, hospitality, commercial, and civil works across Ireland. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with site management, subcontractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost planning and budget control across multiple projects
- Preparation and review of tender packages and subcontract enquiries
- Subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payment certification
- Measurement, BOQs, and variation management
- Preparation and agreement of interim valuations and final accounts
- Cost reporting and cashflow forecasting
- Supporting project managers with commercial advice and controls
Requirements - Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in a QS role (contractor experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of Irish construction practices and contracts
- Experience in fit-out, commercial, or civil works is an advantage
- Excellent numerical, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
