r to join its team in Galway.
This is an excellent opportunity for an administrative professional to play a key role in supporting procurement and supply chain activities within a fast-paced project environment. The successful candidate will work closely with purchasing, commercial, and project teams to ensure the efficient procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
The Role The Purchasing Administrator will provide administrative support to the procurement function, ensuring purchase orders, supplier records, and procurement documentation are managed accurately and efficiently. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities - Raising and processing purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintaining accurate supplier and procurement records.
- Assisting with the sourcing and procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
- Monitoring order status and liaising with suppliers regarding deliveries and lead times.
- Supporting the purchasing team with supplier quotations and pricing information.
- Ensuring procurement documentation is filed and maintained accurately.
- Assisting with invoice queries and supplier account reconciliations.
- Coordinating with project teams to ensure procurement requirements are met.
- Generating procurement reports and maintaining purchasing databases.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
Candidate Requirements - Previous experience in an administrative, purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support role.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience using ERP, procurement, or accounting systems would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive and positive approach to work.
- Experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing, or a project-based environment would be beneficial.
