Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing and purchasing activities within a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
- Manage supplier performance, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are met
- Maintain and improve procurement processes, policies, and systems
- Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to support project requirements
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards
- Manage procurement budgets and reporting on cost performance and savings
- Lead supplier audits and risk assessments to ensure supply chain resilience
Requirements - Proven experience in a procurement or supply chain management role (ideally within engineering, manufacturing, or construction)
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of procurement systems and ERP software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
- CIPS qualification or working towards is an advantage
