OCS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Leading Mechanical Contractor who are on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Cork. The successful candidate will play an important role in the design, development and delivery of mechanical engineering solutions across a range of industrial and process-related applications.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop and evaluate mechanical systems, components and equipment to meet project and customer requirements.
- Provide engineering support across the full project lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to installation and commissioning.
- Review technical specifications, engineering drawings and customer requirements to determine appropriate solutions.
- Assist with the selection and specification of mechanical equipment, including pumps, valves, pipework and fluid handling systems.
- Prepare technical documentation, calculations, drawings and engineering reports.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain technical information, quotations and equipment specifications.
Requirements: - Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience working within a mechanical engineering, industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, fluid handling equipment and associated engineering principles.
- Understanding of pumps, valves, pipework and process equipment would be advantageous.
