I am currently recruiting for a Leading Mechanical Contractor who have a turnover of €150 million and have become a leader in design, manufacture and site installations. They are on the lookout for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities: - Develop mechanical designs from concept through to detailed design and installation.
- Produce 3D models, 2D drawings, layouts, assemblies and fabrication drawings.
- Prepare technical specifications, design calculations and engineering documentation.
- Select appropriate materials, components, equipment and mechanical systems.
- Carry out mechanical calculations including loads, stresses, pressures, flow rates, tolerances and thermal requirements where applicable.
- Interpret client requirements, architectural drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Attend site visits and surveys where required.
- Investigate technical issues and develop engineering solutions.
Requirements: - Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- 3-4 years experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with CAD/3D modelling software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit or similar.
