Junior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a well-established Irish construction group with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Dublin.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an early-career Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their commercial and project management skills within a supportive and progressive environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor and commercial team with the day-to-day management of projects.
  • Assist with the preparation of tenders, quotations and cost estimates.
  • Support the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of subcontractor packages.
  • Monitor project costs, expenditure and financial performance.
  • Assist with valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
  • Review and assess variations and claims.
  • Assist with cost reporting and forecasting.
  • Maintain accurate commercial records and project documentation.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and project teams.
  • Assist with contract administration and commercial management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Carry out site visits as required to support commercial activities.
Requirements
  • Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline.
  • 0-2 years' experience within a construction or quantity surveying environment.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Full driving licence is desirable.
