Our client is a well-established Irish construction group with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an early-career Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their commercial and project management skills within a supportive and progressive environment.
Key Responsibilities - Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor and commercial team with the day-to-day management of projects.
- Assist with the preparation of tenders, quotations and cost estimates.
- Support the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assist with the preparation and review of subcontractor packages.
- Monitor project costs, expenditure and financial performance.
- Assist with valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
- Review and assess variations and claims.
- Assist with cost reporting and forecasting.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and project documentation.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and project teams.
- Assist with contract administration and commercial management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Carry out site visits as required to support commercial activities.
Requirements - Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline.
- 0-2 years' experience within a construction or quantity surveying environment.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop.
- Full driving licence is desirable.
