My Client
I'm currently hiring for one of Ireland's leading building Contractors who are on the lookout for a Junior Project Manger for a project in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in a Project Management role with a platform for career progression and development

Role and responsibilities:

• Assist project manager with coordination of site staff and subcontractor on a day to day basis to ensure works are progressing as planned.
• Ensure all company health and safety procedures are implemented.
• Assist with monitoring the construction programme.
• Check and understand all drawings and specifications. Ensure that any errors/omissions are formally communicated to the design team in timely manner.
• Coordinate timely flow of information from the design team and prepare information required schedules/submittals/RFI’s as necessary.
• Ensure all long lead-time materials or subcontract packages are coordinated in a timely fashion.
• Monitor construction, regarding quality of workmanship and materials
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specification, building regulations and good building practise.
• Monitor project resource requirements and liaise with Senior Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory obligations
• Assist Senior PM with administrative tasks regarding Method statements, review of subcontractor documents, meeting minutes, etc

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Engineering or construction qualification and 3-5 years’ experience in similar role.
• Good time management skills and ability to meet agreed deadlines.
• Must have strong knowledge of building detail and construction technology
• Excellent written, oral communication and time management skills
• Strong IT skills with use of Word, Excel, MS Project
• Procore experience helpful
