OCS Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a long-established and highly regarded supplier within the Irish construction industry to recruit an Internal Sales Executive for their office-based team in Kildare.
Our client supplies specialist materials predominantly to the civil engineering, precast, and residential construction sectors and has built an excellent reputation for quality products and exceptional customer service. The Role
As an Internal Sales Executive, you will be a key point of contact for customers, providing a professional and efficient service from initial enquiry through to order fulfilment. Working as part of a team of three, you will support the day-to-day operation of the internal sales function, liaising with customers, manufacturers, warehouse personnel, and colleagues to ensure a seamless customer experience.
This role would suit an organised and proactive individual with a positive, can-do attitude who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and as part of a close-knit team.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting and assisting customers visiting the office.
  • Receiving and processing customer enquiries and orders via telephone and email.
  • Preparing quotations and following up with customers as required.
  • Providing product information and assisting customers in identifying suitable solutions for their requirements.
  • Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers regarding technical product queries and specifications.
  • Coordinating deliveries and customer collections, ensuring all relevant information is communicated effectively to the warehouse team.
  • Working closely with warehouse personnel to ensure orders are prepared accurately and dispatched on schedule.
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Supporting the wider team with general sales administration duties as required.
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in an internal sales, customer service, sales administration, or similar role.
  • Experience within the construction, civils, precast, builders' merchants, or related sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good technical aptitude and the ability to understand and communicate product information confidently.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
  • A team-oriented approach with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Working Hours
  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
  • One-hour lunch break daily
