An established and growing engineering and construction contractor is seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team in Co. Kildare. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated QS to work on a variety of high value engineering and construction projects while developing their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities - Assist with the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, valuations, and financial reports.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, tender analysis, and contract administration.
- Monitor project costs, identify commercial risks, and support cost control measures.
- Prepare and negotiate variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Liaise closely with project managers, site teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all commercial activities are carried out in accordance with contractual requirements.
Requirements - Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- Approximately 2-5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
- Experience within engineering, mechanical, electrical, or construction projects is desirable.
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard QS software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational abilities.
- Full driving licence is advantageous.
