Health & Safety Advisor - South Dublin

OCS Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor on behalf of one of Ireland's leading residential developers.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded contractor on a new residential development commencing in early September in South Dublin. The project will comprise a mix of apartments and housing, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to be involved from the initial stages through to project completion.
Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Management team and subcontractors, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are maintained throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and promote compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented where required.
- Support site management in maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure safe systems of work are in place.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and ongoing safety briefings.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, preparing reports and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure subcontractors comply with site-specific health and safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate health and safety documentation and site records.
- Promote a positive safety culture across all aspects of the project.
- Liaise with project teams, clients and external stakeholders on health and safety matters where required.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor within the construction industry.
- Experience on residential construction projects is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with site teams and subcontractors.
- Full clean driving licence.
