Introduction
OCS Recruitment is working with a leading construction and fit-out specialist to appoint a proactive Safety Advisor for a high-profile project based in South Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established safety team within a company known for delivering complex projects across Ireland and Europe. Reporting to the Safety Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high safety standards, ensuring compliance, and promoting a strong, proactive safety culture on-site.
The Role
- Carry out regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company health & safety policies
- Monitor adherence to all safety procedures, providing practical guidance to site teams and subcontractors
- Record, investigate, and report accidents and incidents, supporting the implementation of corrective actions
- Work closely with the HSE team to support compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote a positive and proactive safety culture through coaching, communication, and engagement on-site
- Support and lead safety initiatives to drive high standards across all site activities
The Candidate
- Degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a health and safety role within the construction sector
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels
- Experience producing clear and concise reports and maintaining accurate safety records
- Good IT skills with the ability to track and analyse safety data
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Commercial awareness and understanding of the impact of safety on project delivery
