OCS Recruitment is partnering with a leading Irish building contractor — operating across Ireland and the UK, and known for delivering prestigious multi-million-euro projects — to find a Health & Safety Advisor for their Dublin team.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established main contractor and work alongside experienced professionals on high-profile construction projects.
You'll take ownership of all health and safety duties on your designated project(s), ensuring full compliance with safety legislation and company policies. Depending on the assignment, you may work as the sole H&S Advisor on a single large project, as part of a larger site team led by a Senior H&S Advisor, or across multiple smaller projects in coordination with site management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direction, support, and guidance to project personnel on their health and safety duties
- Ensure project compliance with all applicable health and safety legislation, promoting a strong H&S culture
- Monitor site activities to verify that construction operations and subcontractors meet safety requirements and controls
- Conduct health and safety inspections and follow up with responsible parties to close out actions promptly
- Assist in preparing and reviewing project H&S documentation (RAMS, H&S Plans, Lift Plans, etc.), including third-party submissions
- Maintain records and data using H&S system software to comply with legislation and company procedures
- Arrange third-party H&S training for project teams in consultation with the Regional H&S Advisor, and deliver internal training/briefings as needed
- Lead and participate in accident/incident investigations per company procedure
- Assist with H&S performance appraisals of subcontractors and supply chain
- Compile project H&S statistics and reports, submitting to the Line Manager as required
- Carry out duties as outlined in the H&S Requirements document provided by the Group & Regional H&S Manager
