We are currently recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join a well-established and highly regarded construction company based in Tipperary.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator looking to join a professional team working on a range of high-quality construction projects.
The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and supporting the pre-construction and tendering process from initial enquiry through to submission.
Key Responsibilities: - Preparing detailed cost estimates and tenders for construction projects
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Preparing bills of quantities and pricing schedules
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and the wider project team
- Identifying project risks, costs and potential savings
- Maintaining accurate estimating records and documentation
- Supporting the commercial team throughout the tender process
Requirements: - Previous experience working as an Estimator within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and costs
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant construction, quantity surveying or engineering qualification would be advantageous
