My Client
I am currently recruiting for a Leading M&E Engineering Contractor who are on the lookout for an experienced Electrical Engineer to work on a project in Europe.
Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive electrical design reviews to identify design gaps, deviations, discrepancies, and conflicts within the specifications.
- Review and validate cable sizing calculations, providing technical recommendations and amendments where required.
- Ensure all required technical assessments are completed in a timely manner and that technical issues are identified, addressed, and resolved without delay.
- Prepare, compile, and issue electrical technical submittals for review and approval.
- Manage the technical submittal process through to approval, while tracking the procurement and delivery of electrical equipment and completing receipt verification upon delivery.
- Attend and record regular supply chain meetings, ensuring progress is monitored and maintained in line with the overall construction programme.
- Maintain and update system trackers, ensuring progress is accurately recorded and fully aligned with the construction schedule.
- Collaborate with the BIM team to review electrical installations and ensure designs are fully constructible, with sufficient space provided for installation, access, operation, and maintenance of equipment and cabling.
- Liaise closely with the design team and supply chain to ensure correct plant operation, system performance, and successful project handover.
- Conduct electrical system walk-downs to verify that installations comply with approved specifications, drawings, and quality requirements.
- Compile and coordinate test packs, FTOPs, and O&M documentation, ensuring all documentation is complete and submitted for approval.
What Youll Need: - Third-level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience with both Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) electrical systems, particularly within building services and data centre environments.
- Proven ability to conduct electrical system walk-downs to verify installation compliance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and quality requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and managing technical submittals, conducting detailed technical reviews, and completing engineering assessments to support project delivery.
