The client OCS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a leading Mechanical Contractor who are on the lookout for an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to work under a Leading Contractor.
Responsibilities: - Work closely with clients, project teams and engineering stakeholders to interpret technical requirements and establish practical design solutions.
- Develop and prepare electrical design documentation, including technical drawings for cable management, containment and supporting infrastructure.
- Identify and resolve technical design issues, ensuring solutions align with project specifications and wider services coordination.
- Utilise Revit and Navisworks to interrogate BIM models, extract relevant design data and obtain accurate project measurements.
- Assess and review 3D models to highlight potential clashes, identify design discrepancies and improve coordination between disciplines.
- Coordinate the preparation, development and technical review of electrical design scopes, engaging with internal engineering teams and external client representatives.
- Contribute to design reviews, ensuring proposed electrical solutions are technically sound, buildable and aligned with overall project delivery requirements.
Requirements: - Third-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
- At least three years' experience in electrical design and multidisciplinary coordination, preferably within data centres, industrial facilities or major construction projects.
- Good understanding of electrical containment, cable management systems, routing and BIM-based design coordination.
- Competent in the use of Revit, Navisworks and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong technical problem-solving abilities, coupled with effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
