Job Title: Document Controller
Location: Navan, Co. Meath
Job Summary The Document Controller is responsible for managing, tracking, and maintaining all project documentation to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project and company procedures. The role involves coordinating drawings, technical documents, RFIs, submittals, and project correspondence while ensuring all stakeholders have access to the latest revisions.
Key Responsibilities - Manage and maintain all project documents, drawings, and correspondence.
- Ensure all documents are correctly filed, version controlled, and distributed to relevant personnel.
- Maintain document control registers such as drawing registers, RFI logs, and submittal logs.
- Issue and track drawings and technical documents to site teams, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Ensure only the latest revisions of drawings and documents are in circulation on site.
- Archive superseded documents in accordance with document control procedures.
- Assist the project team with administrative duties related to documentation.
- Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, and project managers regarding document submissions and updates.
- Prepare handover documentation and operation & maintenance manuals at project completion.
- Ensure compliance with company quality management systems and procedures.
Requirements - Previous experience in document control or administration within construction or engineering.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Experience using document management systems (e.g., Viewpoint, Procore, Aconex, SharePoint, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documents and deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable - Experience working on construction sites or with contractors.
- Understanding of construction drawings and document workflows.
- Knowledge of ISO quality documentation systems.
