Job Title: Document Controller
Location: Dublin, Ireland


Role Overview:
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and detail‑oriented Document Controller to support our construction projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring all project documentation is accurate, controlled, and accessible to the project team throughout the project lifecycle.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the document control system, ensuring all project documentation is filed, tracked, updated, and archived correctly.
  • Receive, register, and distribute project documents such as drawings, specifications, reports, correspondence, and revisions in line with established procedures.
  • Maintain version control and document numbering, and ensure timely distribution to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support project teams by preparing transmittals and weekly reports on outstanding documentation and actions.
  • Assist in coordinating documentation with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and client systems/portals (e.g., Procore, SharePoint, Aconex or similar).
  • Ensure compliance with document control procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., BCAR where relevant).
  • Provide general administrative support including filing, data entry, photocopying, scanning and meeting support (agendas, minutes).
Experience & Skills Required:
  • Previous experience in document control, site administration, or similar roles within construction or engineering environments.
  • Familiarity with document management software and digital platforms (e.g., Procore, SharePoint, Aconex, 4Projects, etc.).
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and with multidisciplinary project teams.
Desirable (but not essential):
  • Knowledge of BCAR compliance processes.
  • Experience in a fast‑paced construction project environment.
