OCS are currently working with a well-established specialist RC Frame, Structures, Civils & Groundworks contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has progressed through an engineering background and has developed their career into Contracts / Project Management.
What are they looking for? The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in RC Frame and Groundworks, with the ability to manage projects from both an engineering and commercial perspective.
You'll ideally have:
- Strong experience delivering RC Frame / Groundworks projects
- A background in Site Engineering / Civil Engineering before progressing into management
- Experience as a Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager or Project Manager
- Strong understanding of reinforced concrete, foundations, substructures and groundworks
- Experience managing multiple projects and site teams
- Strong programme and project delivery knowledge
- Good commercial awareness
- Excellent client and subcontractor management skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
The Role You'll be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects predominantly across the
Home Counties, with occasional London-based projects.
Working closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, Commercial Managers, clients and senior management, you'll take responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, commercially and to a high standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing multiple RC Frame and Groundworks projects
- Overseeing Project Managers and site teams
- Monitoring programme, progress and project performance
- Maintaining strong client relationships
- Managing resources and delivery requirements
- Working closely with the commercial team
- Identifying and resolving technical and operational issues
- Ensuring high standards of quality and H&S
- Supporting the business with continued growth and future projects
