Our client is a well-established property developer delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use schemes across Cork and the wider Munster region.
With a strong pipeline of housing and apartment developments, they are seeking a Civil Engineer to support the planning, design coordination, and on-site delivery of infrastructure works.

The Civil Engineer will play a key role in managing infrastructure and groundworks packages across multiple developments, working closely with design teams, site teams, and external consultants to ensure efficient and compliant delivery.
You will be involved from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring all civil elements are delivered to programme, budget, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee site infrastructure works including roads, drainage, utilities, and earthworks
- Coordinate with consulting engineers and design teams
- Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Monitor subcontractor performance and quality standards
- Ensure works comply with Irish building regulations and local authority requirements
- Support planning conditions and discharge processes
- Assist with programme tracking and reporting
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues
- Liaise with Irish Water/Uisce Éireann, local authorities, and utility providers
- 2-3 years’ experience in civil engineering
- Experience in residential development, groundworks, or infrastructure projects
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering
- Strong knowledge of drainage, roads, and utilities installation
- Excellent understanding of Irish building regulations and local authority standards
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple packages across live developments
- Experience working directly for a developer
- Familiarity with BCAR and statutory compliance processes
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and project management software
- Knowledge of Cork local authority procedures
