Overview An established and growing infrastructure and utilities contractor is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead the preparation, coordination, and submission of high-quality tenders and proposals. The successful candidate will work closely with operational, commercial, engineering, and management teams to secure new business opportunities across a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities - Manage the end-to-end tender and bid submission process.
- Review tender documentation and identify key requirements, risks, and opportunities.
- Coordinate contributions from engineering, commercial, operational, and support teams.
- Develop compelling bid strategies and submission content.
- Ensure all submissions are completed accurately and within specified deadlines.
- Prepare pricing and commercial documentation in collaboration with estimating and finance teams.
- Maintain and update bid libraries, case studies, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor tender portals and identify suitable opportunities.
- Conduct post-tender reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future submissions.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Skills and Experience Essential - Previous experience in a Bid Manager, Proposal Manager, Tender Manager, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of public and private sector procurement processes.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Strong written communication and document preparation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and quality standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable - Experience within construction, civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, or related sectors.
- Knowledge of Irish public procurement procedures.
- Third-level qualification in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience using tender management software and procurement portals.
