Overview
An established and growing infrastructure and utilities contractor is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead the preparation, coordination, and submission of high-quality tenders and proposals. The successful candidate will work closely with operational, commercial, engineering, and management teams to secure new business opportunities across a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end tender and bid submission process.
  • Review tender documentation and identify key requirements, risks, and opportunities.
  • Coordinate contributions from engineering, commercial, operational, and support teams.
  • Develop compelling bid strategies and submission content.
  • Ensure all submissions are completed accurately and within specified deadlines.
  • Prepare pricing and commercial documentation in collaboration with estimating and finance teams.
  • Maintain and update bid libraries, case studies, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor tender portals and identify suitable opportunities.
  • Conduct post-tender reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future submissions.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Skills and Experience
 
Essential
  • Previous experience in a Bid Manager, Proposal Manager, Tender Manager, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of public and private sector procurement processes.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Strong written communication and document preparation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable
  • Experience within construction, civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, or related sectors.
  • Knowledge of Irish public procurement procedures.
  • Third-level qualification in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience using tender management software and procurement portals.
