A leading construction and engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join its growing business development and pre-construction team in Dublin.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to lead the preparation, management, and submission of high-quality bids and tender proposals for major construction and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing new business opportunities and supporting the continued growth of the organisation.
The Role Reporting to senior leadership, the Bid Manager will be responsible for managing the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification and qualification through to tender submission and post-bid reviews. The role requires strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and deliver winning submissions within strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities - Managing the end-to-end bid and tender process for public and private sector opportunities.
- Coordinating bid teams across commercial, design, planning, operations, and business development functions.
- Developing bid strategies and submission plans aligned with client requirements.
- Reviewing tender documentation and identifying key deliverables, risks, and opportunities.
- Leading bid kick-off meetings and managing bid programmes to ensure timely delivery.
- Writing, reviewing, and editing high-quality technical and non-technical content.
- Ensuring submissions are compliant, accurate, and aligned with evaluation criteria.
- Managing the development and maintenance of bid libraries, case studies, and supporting documentation.
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders throughout the tender process.
- Conducting post-tender reviews and implementing lessons learned to improve future submissions.
- Supporting framework applications, pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), and expressions of interest (EOIs).
Candidate Requirements - Proven experience in a Bid Manager, Senior Bid Writer, or Tender Manager role.
- Strong understanding of the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sector.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex bids and tender submissions.
- Excellent written communication, editing, and presentation skills.
- Strong project management and organisational abilities.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing competing deadlines.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of procurement processes.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and bid management systems.
