The Role This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced construction environment. Working alongside experienced commercial professionals, you will gain exposure to major construction and M&E projects while assisting with the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Key Responsibilities - Assisting with the commercial management of construction projects
- Supporting the preparation of valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Monitoring project costs and reporting on commercial performance
- Assisting with subcontractor procurement and account management
- Preparing and reviewing payment applications
- Supporting cost forecasting and budgeting activities
- Liaising with project teams, subcontractors, and clients
- Ensuring commercial processes and procedures are followed
Requirements - Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
- Minimum 1 year postgraduate experience within the construction industry
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Eagerness to learn and progress within a commercial role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience within M&E or main contracting environments would be advantageous
