Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Opportunity We are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for a key role based in Clare. This is a senior-level position offering full commercial responsibility on a variety of construction projects. The role is ideal for a commercially-minded QS looking to lead financial and contractual management, working closely with project teams, senior management, and clients.
Key Responsibilities - Take full ownership of the commercial management of construction projects from pre-contract through to final account.
- Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.
- Lead procurement, negotiation, and management of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manage valuations, applications for payment, variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Provide accurate monthly reporting on project financial performance to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and protect the company's commercial interests.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise with project managers, site teams, consultants, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior and intermediate quantity surveyors.
- Support tendering, estimating, and pre-construction activities as required.
Requirements - Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- Minimum of 7+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with senior-level responsibility on construction projects.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge across building or civil engineering projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and subcontractor packages.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant cost management software.
- Full, clean driver's licence.
