Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Opportunity We are currently working with a well-established and growing construction contractor to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for a key role based in Dublin. This is a senior-level position offering full commercial responsibility across projects and direct involvement with senior management. The role will suit a commercially astute professional looking for long-term career progression within a stable and respected organisation.
Key Responsibilities - Take full commercial ownership of multiple construction projects from pre-contract through to final account.
- Prepare and manage detailed cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Lead subcontractor procurement, negotiation, appointment, and commercial management.
- Manage valuations, applications for payment, variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Provide accurate monthly cost and value reporting to senior management.
- Ensure contractual compliance and protect the company's commercial position throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities proactively.
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, consultants, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide mentoring, guidance, and leadership to junior and intermediate quantity surveyors.
- Support tendering, estimating, and pre-construction activities as required.
Requirements - Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- Minimum of 7+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within the construction sector, including senior-level responsibility.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge across building projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and large subcontractor packages.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant cost management systems.
- Full, clean driver's licence.
