Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a flagship residential development.
  
Role Summary
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take full responsibility for the commercial and contractual management of a large-scale residential project. You will be working closely with the project team, subcontractors, and clients to ensure financial targets are achieved and commercial risks are managed effectively.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all costs relating to residential building projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures.
  • Provide commercial leadership to the project team, ensuring cost control and contractual compliance.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
  • Conduct monthly valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Procure subcontractors and manage subcontractor accounts, payments, and performance.
  • Advise on and manage contractual claims and disputes.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and senior management to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Mentor and support junior surveyors within the commercial team.
  
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on residential or mixed-use developments (contractor or developer experience desirable).
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related commercial discipline (essential).
  • Strong understanding of contracts (e.g., RIAI, Public Works, JCT) and construction law.
  • Proven track record in cost control, subcontractor management, and commercial reporting.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative project team.
