About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team delivering infrastructure and civil engineering projects in the Clare area. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project costs, commercial risk, and contract administration throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare, review, and manage tender documentation, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring budgets are adhered to and financial reporting is accurate.
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier agreements.
- Provide commercial advice to project managers and site teams to optimise project delivery.
- Manage variations, claims, and interim valuations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide input into project planning and procurement strategies.
- Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring commercial objectives are met.
- Support the team with professional development and mentoring of junior surveyors.
Requirements: - Minimum 5–7 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience with contract administration, cost control, and procurement.
- Knowledge of civil engineering projects, water/wastewater infrastructure, or similar sectors is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., MRICS, RICS, or equivalent) preferred.
