The Company - A medium sized fit out contractor that carry out works across Ireland & the UK. They also carry out some building projects and have a turnover in the region of €30M.
The Role They require a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an existing commercial of 4 to be based in Dublin.
- Liaising closely with our Senior Commercial Manager regarding budgets, claims etc on a monthly basis.
- Liaising closely with our Contracts Manager & Site Managers to ensure the smooth running of a given project.
- Procurement of subcontractors including preparation of sub-contract packages of work, tender negotiations etc. Updating Procurement Summary documentation.
- Subcontractor & Supplier Payments including assessment of claims, issuing of payment certificates, processing of invoices.
- Measurement and preparation of Bills of Quantities.
- Purchasing of materials including obtaining quotes and placing of orders.
- Estimating and tendering and assisting with compiling tender documentation
- Liaising with clients and design team as required including attending site meetings as required.
- Assist with compiling budgets for a given project.
- Compiling Monthly Valuations in line with Main Contract for a given project.
- Compiling and Tracking Variations & Change Orders on a project. Timely notification of same to Client/Design team.
- Preparation of final accounts.
- Dealing with other ad-hoc requests that arise from time to time in the daily discourse of a construction company.
- Produce monthly updated budgets on your projects.
- Assisting with the implementation of our ISO
The Requirements - You must have a commercial degree.
- Have at least 5 years post graduate experience
- Experience in fitout works would be preferred but not essential.
- Experience in preparing valuations, variation management, CVR reporting, payment certificates
- Reporting into the Commercial Manager
