Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial management of multiple construction projects across the North West and West of Ireland. This pivotal role involves managing all cost-related aspects from pre-construction through to project completion, ensuring financial objectives are met while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Management: Oversee the preparation and management of tender submissions, cost plans, and budgets.
  • Procurement: Lead subcontractor procurement processes, including selection, negotiations, and contract management.
  • Valuations & Accounts: Prepare and submit accurate interim valuations, manage variations, and settle final accounts.
  • Financial Reporting: Monitor project costs, cash flows, and budgets, providing regular commercial reports to senior management.
  • Contract Administration: Advise on contracts, change management, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure strong financial performance and value-driven procurement.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
Requirements
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably within the Irish construction industry.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Membership with a professional body such as the SCSI or RICS is desirable.
