About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction team based in Wexford. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality construction projects.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation for construction projects.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis and provide regular reports on project financial performance.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure adherence to budgets.
  • Prepare and negotiate valuations, interim payments, and final accounts.
  • Advise on contractual matters, including procurement, subcontractor agreements, and risk management.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess progress and validate cost claims.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement procedures, and cost management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office, CostX, or similar).
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
