About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Dublin. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and supporting the delivery of high-quality construction projects. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
- Manage and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
- Conduct cost planning, value engineering, and lifecycle cost analysis.
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts.
- Prepare interim valuations, progress reports, and final accounts.
- Monitor variations, claims, and risk management associated with projects.
- Liaise with clients, design teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior surveyors and project staff.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practice in construction cost management.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Professional membership (e.g., MRICS, CIOB, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with significant exposure to commercial or residential projects in Ireland.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and tendering procedures.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in industry-standard software (e.g., CostX, MS Excel, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
