About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Purchaser to join our dynamic team in Kildare. The ideal candidate will play a key role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of materials and services essential for our construction and property development projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality developments while ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process for construction materials, subcontractors, and services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure consistent quality and reliability.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply chain developments to optimize procurement strategies.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site teams to anticipate material requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate procurement records, including budgets, orders, and invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and relevant legislation.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a purchaser, ideally within construction, property development, or related industries.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and materials sourcing.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with procurement or ERP software is advantageous.
  • Relevant qualifications in supply chain, purchasing, or construction management preferred.
