Job Title: Senior Electrical Estimator
Location: Dublin, Ireland

The Opportunity: We are currently recruiting a highly experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join a leading electrical contracting team based in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially-minded professional to take ownership of electrical estimation across a diverse portfolio of projects, working closely with the commercial and operations teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate, competitive, and timely estimates, helping to secure new business while supporting ongoing project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed electrical estimates and cost plans for a variety of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to develop accurate scope and pricing.
  • Identify and manage risk factors in estimates and provide commercial input to mitigate potential issues.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure estimates reflect current market pricing.
  • Review subcontractor and supplier quotations and incorporate into overall project estimates.
  • Develop and maintain estimating templates, cost databases, and tracking systems.
  • Present and defend estimates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior estimators as required.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, labour rates, and material costs.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Estimator, ideally within contracting or consulting environments.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, design, installation, and costing principles.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a busy team.
  • Full, clean driver’s licence.
