Senior EHS Advisor – Cork Sector: Commercial & Pharmaceutical Projects 
Location: Cork (with flexibility across multiple project sites) 
Overview Our client, a leading construction and engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced 
Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor to join their Cork-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a senior role in delivering large-scale commercial and pharmaceutical projects, ensuring best-in-class health, safety, and environmental standards are achieved and maintained.
 The successful candidate will bring over 8 years’ experience, strong technical expertise, and the ability to influence and drive a safety-first culture across complex projects. 
Key Responsibilities  - Lead the implementation and management of the company’s EHS policies, procedures, and systems.
  - Provide expert advice, guidance, and support on all EHS matters to site management, employees, and subcontractors.
  - Ensure full compliance with all statutory health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  - Deliver EHS training programmes, including inductions for new employees and subcontractors.
  - Develop and review project-specific documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, permits to work, and safe plans of action.
  - Carry out regular site audits and inspections, reporting findings and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
  - Investigate and report incidents, ensuring lessons learned are communicated effectively.
  - Maintain accurate EHS registers, records, and monthly reporting, presenting updates to senior management.
  - Support the delivery of EHS initiatives, Toolbox Talks, and safety communications.
  - Contribute to project safety files and assist with client handover requirements.
  - Actively promote a proactive, injury-free workplace culture.
  
 Skills & Experience Required  - Third-level qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety (or equivalent).
  - Minimum of 8 years’ experience in an EHS role, ideally within large-scale construction projects.
  - Proven ability to lead safety programmes on complex, high-value projects.
  - Full, clean driving licence.
  - Proficient IT skills, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel essential).
  - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  - Track record of building strong relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
