Overall Purpose of the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading venue operator for a proactive and driven Sales and Events Executive. This role is focused on growing both race day and non-race day business by increasing venue sales, acquiring new meeting and event clients, and developing existing key accounts in line with a defined sales and marketing strategy.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous hospitality industry experience—ideally from a venue, hotel, or agency background—to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The role reports directly to the Sales and Events Manager.

Sales Duties Include
  • Staying commercially aware and attuned to changes within the industry
  • Meeting monthly KPIs and sales targets as outlined by the Sales and Events Manager
  • Researching and targeting specific market segments through strategic sales activities
  • Proactively identifying new business opportunities and driving the sales process from prospecting through to closure
  • Maintaining a database of existing and prospective clients, ensuring consistent follow-up
  • Managing the full sales cycle, including chasing leads, closing sales, negotiating contracts, client visits, and event briefing
  • Issuing invoices and managing payment follow-ups
  • Representing the venue at industry networking events, trade shows, and client evenings (when required)
  • Supporting the implementation of wider sales and marketing strategies
  • Accurately managing client information and activity using Salesforce/Delphi
  • Collaborating effectively with internal teams and demonstrating strong industry knowledge
  • Handling inbound enquiries via phone and email
  • Sending proposals and managing timely follow-ups
  • Negotiating and contracting new bookings
Event Management Duties Include
  • Overseeing the successful planning and delivery of events from initial enquiry to post-event follow-up
  • Coordinating event details and logistics with internal venue departments
  • Managing venue diary and event scheduling
  • Maintaining clear communication across all departments to ensure smooth event execution
  • Delivering outstanding customer service at every touchpoint
  • Managing all event logistics including client visits, event briefs, deposit tracking, and billing
  • Demonstrating strong planning and organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Supporting the wider sales team administratively, including managing BEOs
Ideal Candidate
  • Equally passionate about sales and event management
  • Self-motivated and proactive in pursuing new business and client relationships
  • A creative problem-solver with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent English essential)
  • Highly organised with strong planning capabilities
  • Previous experience with Delphi software is a plus, though not essential
  • Comfortable building rapport and engaging with clients face-to-face
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Energetic and personable team player
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities under pressure
  • Courteous, professional, and focused on delivering high standards of service
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven
  • Holds a diploma-level qualification in Business or Hospitality (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a proactive sales environment, ideally in hospitality or events
  • Flexible with working hours—available to work 5 days over 7
  • Full, clean driving licence with willingness to travel between venues

Salary & Package:
  • 35k-38k
  • 5/7 working week
  • KPI Bonus
  • Mileage for travel to sites outside of main base.
  • Location: The role is primarily based in Dublin 18, with regular travel required to two other sites (Meath & Kildare). Fairyhouse and The Curragh. Candidates must be comfortable with frequent travel between venues as part of their day-to-day responsibilities.
