About the Role: An established and growing specialist subcontractor is seeking an experienced 
Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in 
Cork. This role is ideal for a QS with a background in 
external envelope or 
cladding systems, looking to work on high-value projects across Ireland and the UK.
 The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project costs, contracts, procurement, and financial reporting from pre-contract stage through to final account. 
Key Responsibilities:  - Prepare and submit interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
  - Manage project budgets and monitor cost performance
  - Procure subcontractors and materials in line with cost plans and schedules
  - Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
  - Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations (e.g. JCT, NEC)
  - Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and design staff to ensure cost-effective delivery
  - Produce regular cost/value reports and cash flow forecasts
  - Support estimating and tender activities where required
  
 Ideal Candidate:  - Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline
  - 3+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within cladding, roofing, or external works
  - Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (JCT, NEC)
  - Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills
  - Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
  - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and industry-standard QS software
  
 Desirable:  - Background in curtain walling, rainscreen, architectural glazing, or structural steel packages
  - Progressing towards chartered status (MRICS, CIOB, etc.)
  - Experience working on projects in both Ireland and the UK
