A well-established RC Frame and Groundworks subcontractor is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This role is a hybrid, splitting time between head office and live sites across London and the Home Counties, working on schemes ranging from £7m to £18m.
The Role Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will:
- Prepare and review valuations, interim payments, and final accounts
- Manage subcontractor agreements, procurement, and variation orders
- Support site teams with budget control, cost tracking, and commercial advice
- Assist with cost planning, forecasting, and reporting across live projects
- Maintain accurate commercial records and project documentation
- Liaise closely with both site teams and senior management to ensure smooth project delivery
The Ideal Candidate You will:
- Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Groundworks/RC Frame projects with a reputable subcontractor
- Be confident preparing valuations, managing variations, and providing commercial input
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work across office and site environments
- Be commercially aware, proactive, and keen to develop your career within a growing subcontractor
