Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced
Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and fast-growing main contractor with a strong pipeline of commercial, industrial, and residential projects across Ireland. Based in
Westmeath, this is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and commercially minded QS looking to progress within a supportive and dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage the commercial aspects of multiple construction projects from initial tender through to final account.
- Prepare and evaluate tender documentation and subcontractor packages.
- Monitor project costs and report on budgets, valuations, variations, and forecasts.
- Attend site meetings and liaise with site management teams to ensure project delivery aligns with cost and quality expectations.
- Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements and payments.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow projections, and valuations for clients.
- Ensure all commercial and contractual documentation is accurate and up to date.
Requirements: - Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline.
- 3+ years’ post-grad experience in a QS role, preferably with a main contractor.
- Proven experience working on building projects across sectors (e.g., residential, commercial, pharma, industrial).
- Strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts (e.g., RIAI, Public Works, etc.).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in relevant software tools (e.g., Excel, Cubit, Buildsoft, or similar).
- Full clean driving licence.
