About the Role
 A well-established and rapidly growing Tier 2 contractor is currently seeking a 
Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in 
Galway. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a company with a strong presence across the West of Ireland, delivering high-quality construction projects across a variety of sectors.
 The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. You’ll work closely with site and project management teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth delivery and commercial success from pre-construction to final account. 
Key Responsibilities  - Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts
  - Conduct tender analysis and assist with subcontractor procurement and appointment
  - Monitor project progress and prepare valuations and cost reports
  - Handle variations, change orders, and final account negotiations
  - Ensure adherence to contract conditions and industry regulations
  - Support the preparation of monthly commercial reports and risk assessments
  - Liaise regularly with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
  - Carry out site visits to ensure alignment between commercial and construction activities
  
 Requirements  - Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline
  - Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, preferably with a main contractor in Ireland
  - Familiarity with Irish building contracts (RIAI, GCCC, etc.)
  - Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
  - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and QS software (e.g., Cubit, Buildsoft)
  - Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  - Full driving licence (occasional travel to regional sites required)
