About the Role
An established and fast-growing Tier 2 contractor is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. With a strong pipeline of projects across the Leinster region, this is a fantastic opportunity for a QS looking to progress their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.
You’ll work on a variety of medium to large-scale projects across sectors including residential, commercial, educational, and industrial. The role offers real career progression opportunities, mentorship, and the chance to play a key part in project delivery from early stages through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets and cost plans
  • Oversee procurement processes, including subcontractor engagement and evaluation
  • Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project timelines
  • Liaise with clients, site teams, subcontractors, and senior management
  • Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings to track and report on project status
  • Assist with value engineering and risk management strategies
  • Support senior commercial staff in financial reporting and forecasting
Ideal Candidate
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in a QS role, ideally with a main contractor in Ireland
  • Strong knowledge of the Irish construction industry, contracts, and regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and QS-specific software (e.g., Cubit, Buildsoft, or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Full Irish/EU driving licence (site travel required)
