About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic construction team in Cork. This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of commercial, residential, and civil construction projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed cost estimates, tender documentation, and bills of quantities.
- Manage project budgets, monitor expenditure, and provide accurate cost reporting.
- Conduct cost analysis and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure smooth financial and contractual processes.
- Evaluate variations and change orders, providing recommendations for cost control.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and construction regulations.
- Assist in risk management and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Qualifications & Experience: - Relevant degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the Irish construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and tendering processes.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, CostX, or similar).
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
