Job Title: QC Inspector
Location: Cork, Ireland
 
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced QC Inspector to join a growing team delivering major renewable energy projects across Ireland for a leading civil engineering client. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to take the next step in their career within a well-established engineering and construction environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement on-site inspection and test plans.
  • Conduct detailed inspections of civil, mechanical, and electrical installations.
  • Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
  • Monitor construction progress and prepare progress reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of technical and contractual documentation.
  • Ensure all work complies with project safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Interpret and apply relevant ISO, NSAI, and design standards.
  • Produce technical drawings, including SLDs, layouts, schematics, and schedules.
  • Approve and review detailed designs for HV, MV, and LV systems, including control and protection equipment.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of NCC Level 6 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years' experience in the electrical construction industry (renewable energy experience desirable).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong written and numerical competency.
